#WIPWednesday This week I finally got the right beads for this, and I have finished my π earrings.
But I will not wear them until my citizenship certificate is in my hands.
I will say that my #LostCanadian status has changed my relationship to the color red. I no longer loathe it.

I don't have all the threads for this #PrideMonth #tatting flag, but one day I will...

An all picture #WIPWednesday can be found on the blog. It's too hot for words.
It includes some crochet, spool knitting, sewing, and a very early foray into tatting.

Here's just the #tatting. I used @yarnplayer 's fabulous hand-dyed thread.
The pattern is "rose and vine", a free pattern by Nancy at Be-stitched. I should be trying new things but I love to make this pattern and I keep making it....cannot stop....

I don't know how to impart the knowledge of how I use my senses in identifying lace and other things. I don't think its possible.π
Identifying real crochet lace and tatted lace is possible and important.
If you see it in a store with a price tag on it and the price is too low, its either fake crochet/tatting, or it was made in a sweatshop. (There's a lot of sweatshop tatting...)
Becoming familiar with these types of lace can help in identifying sweatshop Brands.
