The Tarbet Hotel. Constructed in the mid to late 19th Century, this grand Scots Baronial style building lies on a narrow strip of land between Loch Lomond and Loch Long. This makes it an important gateway for travellers moving between Glasgow and the Western Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and there was a coaching in here as far back as the 1500s.
