It was all intense, bracing, and urgent jazz in Austin last week. I don’t know how all y’all spoiled New Yorkers keep your heads from exploding.

As pointed out by @spiegelmama Catholics then have to listen to Protestants during the "marching season" -- lol, nice phrasing.

Such an upending of rights and obligations. Completely inverted to the point where it's not about sensitivity training but that there's something wrong with these people.

They're just not suitable for carrying badges and weaponry if they're that backwards.

That point you realize that Br'er Rabbit punched the #tarbaby because in #JimCrow south, if someone said hi to a black man, they had to respond politely to show subservience or face violence. Even worse, the sticky figure was originally part of #African folk lore, but was cooped by the south to help enforce the racial hierarchy. #racism
