Wanted to see how the GB tapestry would look if I increased the size of the pixels. It was a lot more work (literally 4x the stitches), but I do think I like the outcome more! It's much easier to distinguish the different shades of green, and the pixels are much more clear without losing too much of the "wobbly-ness" that makes it unique. I think the smaller version would be better suited to a small scene or less detailed sprite. Either way, love them both :)

So I had an idea, what if I brought my Gameboy obsession into my crochet world? Behold, my attempt at Gameboy crochet!

Still not sure how I feel about the result. I lost confidence in my colour choices about halfway through and had to try recreating them in Aseprite to convince myself they are indeed what an actual GB looks like. Then I pulled out my Gameboy and booted up Link's awakening to compare. They definitely match as best I could expect, but something about them not being on an actual screen makes it look off. idk

Think I'm going to try some other methods and see if I like how they turn out any better.

Restarted a Santa tapestry crochet project today. I've started with carrying the yarn across the work, as I work, but I'm actually debating switching to fair isle as I hear you get less of the alternate colour showing through the front of the work.
