Free to a good home: One Hewlett Packard C2262A Storage System with seven SCSI drive bays. Two are currently populated by hard drives, one by a caddy-loading CD reader, and one by a tape drive. The faceplate of the CD reader had been held on by masking tape. 💿

I wished @thisdoesnotcomp made a #playlist with his #BackgroundMusic and called it something like: "#SmoothJazz to think about #ObsoleteMedia and restore #VintageComputers to" or something...

Also besides #Zip & #Jaz, #iomega also had a QIC #TapeDrive called #ditto which also had the same case design like the former, but in a bordeaux-coloured plastic case in the external, parallel port version...

I have one laying around, somewhere...

Picked up a 2nd hand tape player for the #ZXSpectrum (Sony TCM-939). It did manage to load some tapes, but the volume slider seems pretty crackley. I'm assuming some dirt or corrosion on the slider contact, does anyone know if , it's possible/easy to clean before I go investigating? #RetroComputing #TapeDrive #CasetteTapes #electronics
