Los Angeles, 11 mar. (askanews) - Da videomaker di lezioni patriottiche in una scuola russa dopo l'invasione dell'Ucraina, a co-regista di un documentario nominato agli Oscar che ne denuncia l'indottrinamento e anche il baratro in cui è caduto un intero Paese: Pavel Talankin ha ribaltato il suo mondo in soli due anni. Questo fine settimana si presenterà alla serata più importante di Hollywood.
Durante un'intervista a margine del pranzo dei candidati alla più ambita statuetta di Beverly Hills il mese scorso, Talankin ha dichiarato all'AFP che il film è stato visto da alcune persone in Russia, incluso un suo studente, "che hanno detto che era molto bello" ed erano felici di "aver preso parte a un progetto del genere".
"La reazione degli studenti... hanno detto che era molto bello aver preso parte a un progetto del genere. Alcuni si chiedevano perché ci fossero così pochi di loro nel film, volevano esserci di più".
Pavel Talankin, originario della città industriale di Karabash negli Urali, ha lasciato la Russia dopo aver contribuito al documentario "Mr Nobody Against Putin", girato in segreto nelle scuole per smascherare il lavaggio del cervello pro-Cremilino. Ora in esilio, riceve minacce esplicite da ex colleghi e autorità locali, che lo accusano di tradimento.
"Ci sono state anche reazioni piuttosto negative... tipo 'aspetteremo che ti si spezzi la spina dorsale quando tornerai a Karabash', 'ti spezzeremo le ginocchia e ti troverai a strisciare davanti a noi implorando perdono per il tuo tradimento'".
Di fatto Talankin, senza perdere il sorriso, racconta la militarizzazione e la propaganda di guerra in Russia, in una battaglia parallela sul fronte interno, combattuta non con le armi ma con l'ideologia.

Pavel Talankin, originally from the industrial city of Karabash in the Urals, left Russia after contributing to the documentary “Mr Nobody Against Putin,” filmed secretly in schools to expose the pro-Cremilino brainwashing. Now in exile, he receives explicit threats from former colleagues and local authorities, who accuse him of treason.
"There have also been quite negative reactions... like 'we'll wait until you break your spine when you return to Karabash,' ‘we’ll break your knees and you’ll be crawling before us begging for forgiveness for your betrayal’."
Indeed, Talankin, without losing his smile, recounts the militarization and war propaganda in Russia, in a parallel battle on the home front, fought not with weapons but with ideology.
