I got a call from a 9-year-old on our street half an hour ago. I answered the phone with " what adult thought it was a good idea to give a child a phone" She replied, "you did".
I had no idea they had apps that gave them phone numbers without a sim card.
So now I am sending her texts. At 7:00 I sent her a text "Time to get ready for bed" Ten minutes later "Time to brush your teeth". Next "No more screen time, PJ on and time for bed." She is not impressed. #tech #takesavillage

More than 25 volunteers gathered near the Deering Clinic at about 9 p.m. to get ready, according to airport worker Calvin Moto, and the village was able to put a vehicle at each light.
