here’s a pic for those of you who need to take a deep breath. my town grew up along the banks of a creek, waterpower was important for industries at that time (textiles, primarily)
when those industries died, buildings sat for decades. a visionary took this building, which housed a turbine, and imagined a hotel/restaurant overlooking the falls. genius, right?
