Day 7: Favourite character of 2023
Ai Di. Mafia fashion icon and terror to fight against.
He’s smol but deadly. The sort to aggressively escalate to the extent that nobody who knows him underestimates exactly how willing and capable he is of throwing down.
He’s also fiercely loyal, even to those who aren’t part of his gang social circle. This has included meeting someone where they’re at— like finding a legal and safe way to help Zongyi get money.

Day 18: A favourite scene of 2023
I just noticed it says *a* favorite scene, so here. Have my 2nd favorite of 2023.
In #KisekiDearToMe, there’s a scene of Ai Di celebrating his and Chen Yi’s birthday from age 15-18, alone. We watch him go from bright eyed and happy, to disappointed, to heartbroken. All spliced together to make it feel like one moment. Condensing years of pain.
Yeah, I cried when I first saw it.
I’m yet again caught up on Kiseki: Dear To Me. Also pushing #Enigma on the queue for tomorrow, hopefully. Depending on how hectic that gets.

How does this keep happening?! 
It’s like, every week I watch an episode, and next thing I know, I have to wait a whole week again!
Zongyi calmly explaining he would like to record this important conversation because of his disability, which he also mentions with no apology, is cool enough.
The fact that he knowingly and unflinchingly does this to the *person who sent people to kill him*, causing the brain injury which caused the disability in the first place, is… a power move.
Don’t get between Bai Zongyi and Fan Jheruei. He does not care who you are.
So, I didn’t really expect Kiseki: Dear to Me to be one of the most human portrayals of a certain injury/condition?
All things considered, it’s a low bar compared to the other media I’ve seen with it, but it cleared it amazingly well.
I can’t speak to accuracy, but insofar as it portraying something someone consistently has to deal with, and does, while making accommodations for himself and not being ashamed of those accommodations…
Like, it’s pretty great.
