As someone who never watched a full episode of MLP, what would you say makes it most watch worthy?
I had to take a whole day to prepare myself to answer this. xD
It's very rich despite its target audience. There are so many things I would have never understood when I was little that I understand now. Genuine lessons about respecting others and that not everyone can handle an issue another person could.
Lots of racism, some slavery, a lot of it blatant as well. The main cast isn't immune to making mistakes, some of the first episodes are about them being racist and realizing "oh, this is very wrong." And later fighting for unity to the point I can recall them fighting for the rights for every creature to have access to being able to learn how to make friends.
I also remember my jaw dropping open when Starlight called her friend incompetent LOL that was so cold. Lots of genuine deep lessons there. It's a beautiful show, and to think it cultivated and changed the internet in its name. Seriously! So much of internet culture is linked to FiM. It changed furry art forever. Absolutely wild. It absolutely deserves respect for that.
And by the way, there's lots of official comics about the show, too. And they expand on things the show didn't, like King Sombra's backstory and the princesses.
Overall 10/10.
