I’ve watched no Cycling since the World Championships, I only saw that as it was on the BBC.

I used to see a lot when Eurosport still existed in the UK and ITV still had coverage.

The TV Rights Owners are killing wide audience awareness of the various Cycling disciplines.

How is even the Tour De France going to remain popular & in the popular consciousness if it’s not widely available?

Just read Tao Geoghegan Hart’s social media post (see AltText) about the change in Cycling Race Television Coverage in the UK and Ireland.

Well said Tao. Other sports have become less in the UK public consciousness due to the availability of coverage for the casual viewer. Sports can effectively “die” based on awareness.

I’ll be consuming much, much less sport with Eurosport's closure here as I can’t justify a Premium Sport TV Subscription.
