Finally sitting down and making myself get through the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1 cause a couple of my best friends are fans and I've heard it is among the best of the 90s and 00s wave of cable/syndicated sci-fi.

I always put off shows that start with a pilot that is feature length. Idk why.

Even at my most moderate I ever got, I remained a dedicated economic lefty in most regards, so half of the episodes of The West Wing made me roll my eyes hard at their dedication to New Democrat style liberalism. Now that I've found my rightful place as all around commie, I cannot stand MOST episodes of the show that manages to be preachy and also quite conservative at the same time. People used to call it "The Left Wing" but like, certainly not.
