January also saw us preparing music and assembling the orchestra for the 7th Annual Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) Awards, hosted by Kevin Bacon and Michael Bacon on Feb. 6 in Los Angeles. It featured LA's finest musicians and singers with performances by Melissa Manchester, The Bacon Brothers, Ludwig Göransson, and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the film "Rocky" conducted by composer Bill Conti.
