So, does anyone else ever think they’d run certain websites better than the existing owners, and consider buying them if they get enough money?

Personally I’ve always felt like the staff at #tvtropes do a terrible job with the site, and that I’d love to run it myself if I got the opportunity. If I ever become a millionaire, I’m buying out that site immediately.

I’d also buy Mario Wiki if they ever try selling it to Fandom, but that’s not really something I see happening anyway.

#TheWarriorPrincessAndTheBarbaricKing

OK, despite the dubious premise, this show is delivering some solid character work. The attraction between Sera and Veor feels quite natural, even if Sera isn’t willing to admit that to herself yet. Can you say #Tsundere? I knew you could. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Tsundere

(Yes, that’s a #TVTropes link. You should know by know that I’m evil enough to drop those in like candy in my toots).

Tsundere - TV Tropes

The Japanese term tsundere refers to an outwardly violent character who "runs hot and cold", alternating between two distinct moods: tsuntsun (aloof or irritable) and deredere (lovestruck). The term was originally used to describe characters who …

Quoth #TVTropes on the subject of #StarTrek: “several fan sites coalesced into the wiki called Memory Alpha that has been used as an official production resource.”

Heh. You know your #fandom is a big deal when you're using their websites as a reference guide to your own show's lore.

Found this. I do NOT know the original creator, I am terribly sorry to say. But I found it amusing.

Turn of the Millennium - TV Tropes

The Year 2000. Flying cars, androids, faster-than-light space travel... oh wait, we don't have any of that yet. On the plus side, our computers didn't explode, after all. While New Year's 2000 came in with a bang, the attitudes of The '90s mostly …

There’s a page in #TVTropes about it

“When the audience hears accordion music, it sets the stage for adventures with sailors and pirates on the high seas”

(This says most pirate media is set in the 1830s. I don’t know about that. Errol Flynn’s Captain blood is in 1685)

Accordion to Most Sailors - TV Tropes

If there is ever one musical instrument that is associated with sailing, you can bet it will be the accordion. When the audience hears accordion music, it sets the stage for adventures with sailors and pirates on the high seas from the age of …

Anyone remember when the word "bias" had a definition? #tvtropes

I'll miss the forum, because it's genuinely one of the most decent and rational communities on the Internet (thanks to strong, active moderation). Right at the start of the whole Bayonetta 3 fiasco, tropers were pointing out strange things about the situation, which were ultimately borne out when it turned out Hellena Taylor was lying. It sucks to lose that.

thank you for reading
