Halley VI British Antarctic Research Station, a modular base that can walk (ish). It's a bit dated now but it's a lovely location for a game. I mean you're going to think "Thing" but there's probably any number of Mountains of Madness updates you could do. That's a nice Cthulhu Now concept, with a Halley type start base. The design is built with habitats crying out to be separated because something something has got inside.

For the developing little village of Edwardiana here's two shops side by side, a butchers and a post-office/news/bookshop. I think the bookshop/butcher combo is quite CoC

"Volumes bound in skin might take some help from my neighbour sir"

Scale included for beardlords

This is a nice little house from 1884. You can just imagine Mr Straker having a delivery to that one can't you?

As usual the Google Scan of it was presumably carried out with the wheel off a Volvo Estate.

I think a few of these complement the church and other maps I've put up recently to slowly flesh out a wholly imaginary village. Whoever lives here is quite well to do, but not gentry.

A little 1928 Graf Zeppelin deck plan. Which is a terrific size for most games because it gives you a lot of airship without that passenger cruiser scale of the later Zeppelins.

Another nice little map for a game this morning, particularly I suspect CoC, but I'm sure a few period games have research moments well interrupted by a horror amongst the stacks. This is an architects planning submission for a medium sized library in Hackney in the Edwardian era. It's from the 1906 March edition of "the Builder"

There is a scale.. for some people.

From the regular competition for designs in the The Building News, this one is for a "village public house" July 1887

Who hasn't needed a weird little Victorian pub where strangers aren't welcome?

As a point of note, that isn't an orange discolouration on the scan at the gate entry to the pub, that's a Horta from "Devil in the Dark, ST: ToS"

Big on village pubs the Horta.

Brighton on Hove, have rather nicely (and I presume for gamers, why else?) put a little history of the Church of St Nicholas up on their community website. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, the Ancient parish church of Brighthelmstone (for it is he..) has been updated a few times, but is a good basic church for a Ravenloft game or a village church for a "do you think everyone in this village is controlled by Orlac from Blakes 7 game"

Been thinking again about a #fantasy #ttrpg campaign I've had in my head for years, so I looked at a bunch of #ttrpgmaps software and online tools.

There's lots, for various purposes and styles.

But doing this made me realize what I really wanted to do.

So I set up the old drafting table, grabbed some light cardstock paper, an old graphite stick and eraser...and a rock I've held onto for years because it looks like a world map to me.

We'll see what happens!

From the deepest, darkest crypt to the fairest village, Dungeon Alchemist has it all and more! So, what are you building right now? Screenshots from maps made by retropet, SAC, horizontalwolf, and JeFr0kiLL. #ttrpg #ttrpgmaps #mapmaking
