Also worth remembering that most of the Goon Shows from the mid-50s onwards exist in superb Hi-Fi, testament to the skill of the BBC’s production staff and equipment. The broadcast standard of #TPTV on Freeview is well below the quality achieved by auntie all those years ago.

Catching up on the last 3 Footage Detectives from #TPTV. I’m not sure showing ‘highlights’ from the already-released (by Renown Pictures Ltd.) Forces Sweetheart is really going to grow interest in the Goons. If anything, it will put people off! Nice to see Mark Cousins interviewed, however.

Holy crap - has anyone else come across "The Heritage Chart Show" on #TPTV .
The imagery appears to be completely #AI generated (possible even the 'music' is from an AI generated #1980s parallel nightmare universe since I've never heard of any of it.)
Also, where's the logic in using Morris Benton's Broadway font to suggest 'the olden days' when we're only talking about the 1980s or 1990s?!
I'm not sure it's even the real #MikeRead .
