No joke though the show started at 8:00 and I didn't hear a song I recognized until 8:42. It was great!
Been looking forward to tonight's show for ages and it was everything I hoped for.
I'm still a relatively new Mountain Goats fan (saw them in '23, John D. solo in '24, and the whole herd again tonight), and a thing that's kind of neat is that their catalogue is approximately three million songs so each time I go to a show I'm guaranteed to be introduced to a bunch of terrific new-to-me stuff. 🏔️🐐🐐🎸
I walked upstairs to find my 9 year old sitting on his floor, surrounded by magic cards, singing along to the Mountain Goats.
I guess I'm doing something right?
