USA commercial airports at the most altitude above the city

Provided below is a list of those American commercial airports with scheduled airline service, whose elevation has the most difference in altitude over and above the city’s official elevation (usually downtown). As always, any additions, corrections, or suggestions are most welcome. Each elevation is based on the information provided by gemini.google.ai and/or confirmed through en.wikipedia.org.

Most surprising to this blog author was how many airports rom the eastern half of the United States are on the list (approximately half), including the first two positions. Many of these variations in elevation, especially in the East result from the downtown area being located in a river valley, while the airport was built on a bluff or hill above the city.
