Heading back home after this amazing #tagc24 Allied Genetics meeting in Washington D.C. First time I meet in person my lab mates and my first time in USA so far. It is always a humbling experience to see all the smart people and cool projects out there. Science is a global endeavour.

Gave a kind of scrap book talk for my Ira Herskowitz award lecture at #TAGC24. Really nice to think about all the awesome people I've gotten to work with on such cool science. I sat down and immediately thought of 3 people I forgot to mention 🙃 Love the yeast community!

Didn't get 1 minute of downtime at my #TAGC24 poster tonight and ended up talking to people for the full 2 hours instead of just my assigned time! Kind of sad to miss all the other posters I meant to go visit, but loved all the ideas and feedback I got on where to take our yEvo teaching lab.

The followup to this is that we got email later today saying that the concurrent session recordings would be available no later than Monday, which is after the meeting is over. From where I'm sitting, that means it's not actually a hybrid meeting at all, just one they're recording. #TAGC24
