After a fun rerouting via bus to work around a rail segment being under maintenance, we have finally arrived in #Täsch, #Switzerland. Tomorrow, #Zermatt. #OsmAnd has come in handy multiple times on this vacation. I've consciously been avoiding using the Google apps, and I am in awe of the collective efforts of all the users and contributors to #Osm #OpenStreetMap.

🇨🇭 12/10/2025 Täsch - Zermatt
Embarquement dans le train "Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn" (Täsch - Zermatt).
La Station alpine Zermatt est interdite à tout véhicule thermique (on est en bus privé), et cela nous permettra en plus de profiter des magnifiques paysages spectaculaires des Alpes valaisannes, de l'air pur de la montagne et du Mont Cervin.

🇨🇭 12/10/2025 Sion - Täsch
On part en bus ce matin, direction Täsch en Suisse. Comme d'hab, les paysages montagnards suisses du Valais sont magnifiques.
Prochaine étape, le train Täsch - Zermatt.

We're leaving by coach this morning, heading for Täsch, Switzerland. As usual, the Swiss mountain scenery in Valais is magnificent.
Next stop: the Täsch-Zermatt train.

The #Interrail journey through #Switzerland continued with a rather short trip from #Montreux to #Zermatt where I stayed for another two nights.

There was enough time for some #Winter #Hiking around #Täsch and Zermatt as well as a trip to the #Gornergrat with the #GornergratRailway. Although I lost my return ticket at the peak and had to rebuy to get back to Zermatt I had a fantastic time!

The stunning view towards the #Matterhorn is something else to remember 😎.
