Don't use a magnifying glass with your smartphone, put reading glasses on it so it can focus up close.
Instead of using a macro lens I add a lens taken from a pair of binoculars held in place with a rubber band. The shallow depth of field achieves very different results than the iPhone's native macro mode.

Siempre las había visto cerca de charcas o estanques, pero estas estaban en mi jardín y no crecuerdo que haya nada de eso en kilómetros a la redonda.

I played the video on the Mac with Quicktime, selected the frame with the keyboard arrow keys, copied it, and pasted it from the clipboard in Preview (Valencia, September).
