In this house 2024 was started with 和風パスタ (wafu pasta, Japanese home cooking style Italian pasta). We had spaghetti with a sauce made from garlic, tuna, napa cabbage, black pepper, butter, miso, soy sauce and mirin. Only that we didn’t have enough tuna and I divided the sauce to add mackerel to one half instead of tuna. Then we topped this with parmesan cheese and shichimi togarashi. The mackerel worked really well, I think even better than tuna.
