Line honors coverage of #sydneyhobart starting at 10p PST (1600 AEDT) on the CYCA youtube channel. Comanche is back in front by about 5 miles, but we've seen in the past what a narrow lead means in the Derwent. They're 42nm out right now, doing 17kt, just about to round Tasman Island.

Due to the harsh upwind conditions there have been quite some DNFs at this year's edition of #SydneyHobart.
As one of the pre-race favourites on handicap, URM had to withdraw before reaching the Bass Strait after having sustained bulkhead damage. With Wild Thing 100, one of the 100-foot maxis is out of the race as well with Rigging Issues.
Meanwhile the top3 yachts ML Comanche, Law Connect and SHK Scallywag are separated by less than 10nm. This promises a rather spectacular finale! #sailing

Almost nine hours into the 80th edition of the iconic regatte, MasterLock COmanche has taken over the race lead from Law Connect by a scant 1.3nm. There have been 4 retirements as well.
