*Sign up for a training anytime before the canvass you're attending. The closer you can join to when your actual canvass is, the better, since we'll be making changes and improvements each week.*
While this training is optional, we highly recommend attending – this is a different kind of canvassing than most of us are used to, using a brand new canvassing app. If you can't make it to the training, please reference the materials we send out in advance to make sure you're up to speed before you arrive at the canvass. Your canvass lead will have time for a short on-site training before you start knocking.

In 2025, we made history by passing Prop 50. Now it’s time to turn that victory into lasting change by Taking Back the House!
We're going to reach out to voters in our targeted districts early to hear their issues, concerns and ideas. And we'll be using some of the best practices from Deep Canvassing to have more engaged and meaningful conversations.
We'll be running virtual phonebanks every week thru 5/31 and then have our SPECIAL GOTV PHONEBANKS - Mon. June 1st and Tues June 2nd from 4 - 7 PM. We'll be phoning for CDs 13, 22, 27, 45 and 48 and for our democrats up and down the ticket!!

DEEP CANVASSING CONVERSATIONS | April 10, 11, 12 in Fresno! · California Democratic Party
**It's time to talk to voters in CD22!** Let's build the grassroots power Democrats need to win in 2026 and to defend democracy long term. Join us in going door-to-door talking to voters. We'll employ **deep canvassing techniques** such as active listening to open our 2026 voter conversations and learn which issues are important to them. **$100 stipend** a day available to offset the cost of gas and lodging.
- Friday, April 10 | 3:00 to 6:30 pm
- Saturday, April 11 | 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Sunday, April 12 | 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Once you've signed up, a Bay Area Coalition volunteer will contact you and help with carpools and/or housing options. They will also give you details about the meeting location and names of people running the event.
No experience is necessary. When you arrive at the staging location you will be trained and given all the supplies you need. We'll have clipboards, forms, pens, snacks and water. Bring your personal items like comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a smile. We will be using PDI and so a well-powered smartphone is necessary.
