Sweet Cherries are in season. They are available for a very short window of a few weeks. Most of it comes from Kashmir, with a little production in Himachal Pradesh.
One of the tastiest fruits, & one that can be gobbled in large (albeit expensive) quantities.
Sweet Cherries ( Prunus avium) are different from the Himalayan Wild Cherry (Prunus cerasoides). The latter have a different fruiting cycle and rhe fruit certainly cannot be gobbled in large quantities.
