I chose a sunny friday mid-April for a challenging hike I wanted to do for some time: The "Heldentour", queen's stage of a collection of hiking routes called "Löwenpfade" in the area of Göppingen.
At the end of the tour I rewarded myself with some mango icecream from a local farm shop while waiting for the bus.

Yesterday I only had to work till lunch time, so I took advantage of a free afternoon and hiked from a suburb of #Göppingen to Schwäbisch Gmünd.
At the halfway mark I crossed the #Hohenstaufen, one of the so-called "Three Kaiser mountains" in the region. The mountain towers over the forests that have overgrown the ruins of the Hohenstaufen Castle, the seat of the former House of Hohenstaufen. The bar-restaurant on top is unfortunately going to open only in a couple of weeks.
It really felt like #SpringIsHere...
