I decided to build my website (finally, after several years working in #webdev). Looking to try something new, I gave #SvelteKit a go.
I had to learn to love it, but I can't deny the how simple #Svelte5 reactivity is to work with. But, I did find it has its limits.

I recently started building a personal website to host my weblog. To get started, I setup logging, error monitoring, testing, and configuration — including theming and customization. It took some finesse, but wasn't too hard to get my SvelteKit weblog project off the ground.
#Svelte5 is here! Join our 2-day remote workshop next week to learn from #Svelte Maintainer Paolo Ricciuti how to learn the new reactivity model and migrate smoothly from Svelte 4 to 5.

Svelte 5 is a major step forward from version 4 and simplifies how Svelte applications are written. Concepts like snippets and runes, Svelte 5's new set of primitives for controlling reactivity, will replace a number of current concepts that will no longer by required with runes. Yet, as these concept are newly introduced, developers need to learn and them before they can leverage them. This workshop serves as an introduction to Svelte 5's new concepts, as well as a hands-on guide to migrating from old patterns to Svelte 5 and runes.
I'm trying Svelte5 and runes for quite a while now (6 Months+) and I really really REALLY miss Svelte4. Gone are all the lightness and flow. I'm struggling hard to get things working that were only a question of minutes with Svelte4. It has lost its 'special' character and now is just "one of those frameworks" for me.
I miss Svelte 4. 😢
Spots are limited! So, you don’t want to wait too long. Let’s learn the new runes and migrate with confidence. Our Svelte expert, @paoloricciuti will leading you there!
