Someone asked if I could run Jenkins on an iPhone like I do on old Android phones with Termux.

So I investigated. iSH (Alpine Linux via x86 emulation) looks promising until you try Java. Apple's JIT ban kills the JVM. The devs even tried the EU's DMA for an exemption. Apple said no.

Only other path: full Linux VM on a $1000+ iPad Pro. Nobody has documented it working.

A $30 #Android phone runs Jenkins natively.
