🚀 Surviving Mars: Relaunched just landed — but how “new” is it really?
#Paradox and #HaemimontGames have re-released the 2018 colony builder with a modern engine, improved UI, and all previous DLC included. There’s also a new political system called Martian Assembly, adding factions and laws to your colony management.
Visually cleaner, smoother to play, but still very much the same game at its core. For newcomers, it’s probably the best way to experience Surviving Mars today. For long-time players, opinions seem split — some call it a solid upgrade, others see it as a modest refresh.
Has anyone here tried the Relaunched version yet? Worth jumping back in or best left as is?

Aleksandr Koltsoff"Surviving Mars: Relaunched", eli ehosteltu versio kevyestä Mars-siirtokuntasimulaattorista on nyt julkaistu myös PS:lle ja se tapahtui niin salaa minulta että melkein missasin koko uudelleenlämmityksen. Haemimont Games on takaisin puikoissa (onneksi) ja ensi vuonna pitäisi tulla myös pari laajennosta.
Toivoin että joku joskus tekisi samasta aiheesta sosiaalisesti syvemmän simulaation. Ruukaavat mennä aika perinteisellä kaavalla.

SpitfireSo yeah, #paradoxinteractive now tries to sell you "paid patches". Instead of fixing/maintaining #SurvivingMars they do a "remaster" which you can buy again. The "old" version will be removed from stores and owners can still play it - but in it's current (probably half-baked) state because only the "remastered" version is receiving fixes from now on of course (question for how long).
Absolutely disgusting business practice if you ask me. I would strongly advise against giving them any money for this because otherwise this kind of stuff will crop up more and more. I mean - it already has. Looking at you #ARKSurvivalAscended
