I generally avoid watching actual live television, but sometimes I happen to be in the room when my parents have the TV on and the psychological assault of advertising is in full force. I happened to catch this advert the other day (I think it was this one, if not then one VERY similar).

This shit is genuinely evil. Cultivating and monetising parents' fear to sell them surveillance under the guise of a 'funny' song with 'cute animation'. It disgusts me on a visceral level and sometimes it's hard for me to process the fact that we've gotten to this place. Feels like something out of a satire.
