So, my parents just knocked on the door. I was not prepared!

I knew they were gonna stop by with my sister's old moving boxes (since I'll be moving back across the country within the next six months), but I thought it would be tomorrow, where I'll be away for another family thing, so I had put the key to the shed under the mat and everything. But nope, here they are, out of the blue, me sitting in my undies 'cause summer, not having even thought about doing the dishes or cleaning the bathroom or taking out the cardboard still lying in a pile at my front door... not embarassing at all, nope, nada, of course not.

Well, I guess there's a silver lining in them now knowing just how much of a mess I live in? You know, being seen and all that. Still would have appreciated a heads-up, though.

At least I got to pet Aja, our great dane, before they rushed off to continue their holiday.
