I would argue that Clarence Thomas - long term - has done more to help liberals than any other justice in American history.

From overturning Roe - which essentially guaranteed abortion access to much of the population by enshrining rights in state constitutions to revisiting precedents which then hands the left opportunities to revisit "settled law" (such as Citizens United).

Is he a good and smart person? Mmmm. I don't know.
