The Resident Doctors strike action starts at 7.00 this morning & you'll have seen the shape of the optical pincer movement across the media;
On one hand, we're told the public are increasingly losing patience with doctors demands (supported by quick polling)...
and on the other, Ministers (and the PM) are calling for the doctors not to play into the hands' of the NHS' enemies & to think of patients.
Its going to get worse... take it from me.

Just to let you know there are over 100,000 workers on #strike today in Northern Ireland - fighting for better pay & conditions, to save our public services.
All the while, the #DUP and a #Tory Secretary of State are warm, comfy and well-paid!

Healthwatch England concludes that the continuing #NHS #strikes compounded an already severe issue of #patients waiting for treatment & its impact on wellbeing.
Indeed, while in the short-term they are right this may make things worse, lets not forget that political pressure (short of striking) has had little impact on the #Tories defunding of the NHS which is a direct cause of delays.
This is a battle for the health of our country.

Following the current #JuniorDoctors strike (yes, I know JDs are misnamed, they're a lot more mature than 'juniors' & have more responsibility), the #Consultants strike last next week will make it a pretty full spectrum of #NHS staff taking strike action....
What is there not to understand?
The #healthservice needs proper funding, well-paid/happy staff (with reasonable conditions) and an an end to the endless budgetary attrition from the #tories.
