I support my local trans friends & the larger trans community in being against involuntary conversion therapy for trans minors by their parents. I had supported the #BCGreens on both of their past attempts to get involuntary conversion therapy banned in BC. The #BCNDP tossed it out, both times. The #BCConservatives also support involuntary conversion therapy. #BCGreenParty is the only political party in #BritishColumbia that has consistently fought hard for the rights & dignity of transfolks. The other two parties are transphobic & do pinkwashing PR, while supporting ongoing harms against transfolks.

What a shame that this talented & skillful child is either so naive that she wasn't aware of how divisive her public utterings would be, or that she is simply so brainwashed that she truly believes that gay professional athletes need to be "saved" and that she is somehow "called" to that ministry. In any case, she has now created a situation where she will be unable to participate in a meaningful way unless she walks back her previous activity.
