I just wanted to #recommend a #book I read recently:

The Toaster Project by Thomas Thwaites

It's the story of an art graduate trying to make a toaster, based on a super cheap toaster available in supermarkets, from scratch. You can see his attempts (with varying levels of success) at making plastic or melting iron, etc.

It's a funny, witty, and interesting trip about #sustainability and #supply_chains.
