First successful #3DPrinting project.
This is the soap holder I drew in #FreeCAD yesterday.
It isn't perfect, as I still need to play a bit with temperatures and extrusion speed, but it's decent enough to keep.
#SuperSlicer is pretty impressive too. Slicing the STL file was a breeze. Just a couple of clicks and done.
Printing, on the other hand, took a while. Nearly 12 hours.

eshepOrcaSlicer_V1.6.4-beta2_Linux.zip so I figured I give it a try. I was a bit concerned when I opened that zip and found it contained a file called OrcaSlicer_ubu64.AppImage, but hey, it's an AppImage right, should be fine...nope. First run from cli just to see what it spits out and what'a'ye know, error while loading shared libraries: libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so.37. My 7yo nephew is obsessed with sharks. His favorite is the prehistoric Megalodon. For his birthday I got him an authenticated MEG tooth found by scuba divers off the coast of North Carolina.
Used #plasticity and #superslicer to mount it in a shadow box frame for easy grabbin’. Plus a touch sensitive LED night light because… why not?
