The #SuperMarioGalaxyMovie is fun!

It's certainly chock-full of references, in the story and in the soundtrack, but they don't get in the way of the story, they're weaved in and work, and the soundtrack is very good and obviously made by someone who studied the source material.

There's a creative mix of animation styles and 8-bit graphics, which are fun and make sense within the story.

I'm no Nintendo maven, but the movie makes sense and is fun without having played every game, even without having played Galaxy the game.
