Authour in cycle helmet smiling at the camera. Facial hair too long to be passed off as stubble but not really a beard either.
Behind and to the right is a 6 year old Border Collie-X dog sat side-on to camera, smiling? Panting actually.
Next is a very nice (if somewhat venerable) mountainbike leaning against a fencepost. 'Nukeproof' brand though if you look closely and notice the front half is a different colour to the rear half you may realise that this bike is the good bits of two broken bikes bolted together, somewhat giving the lie to the name. The bike has an electric conversion, comprehensive mudguards and a tiny platform for the dog's rear legs so he can ride with his fronts on the bars and get the benefit of the electric up the boring bits just like his human (although he has not done this today preferring instead to go his own way and put up a peacock of all things). Are we done with the bike yet?
Behind and below is the Hauraki plain stretching out beneath a blue sky with fluffy clouds.
On the horizon is the Kaimai range with Te Aroha roughly in the center.
It is a lovely outlook on this bright day.
