Were you at the #Sundays4Safety demo at the Skerritt Roundabout in February? If you were, the man who was injured at that location was in touch. He is recovering well and is keen to get in touch with those who attended. Message me your email if you were there! 😍🤩
A #Sundays4Safety announcement - due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to step away from organising demos for a while. Galling, as there have been so many walkers and bikers killed and injured this year.
If anyone is organising and wants to borrow signs, the ghost bikes or leaflets, please get in touch.
A huge thank you is in order to the core group of heroes who turned up week after week.
This is a pause. We need safer streets for people who wheel, walk and cycle. It shouldn't be so hard.

No traffic issues in #Galway on this mid-term break morning, not even on the infamous Bóthar na dTreabh - it's almost as if the traffic problems could be solved if school children were able to bus or bike to school.

Big crowd out at #Sundays4Safety at the Skerritt Roundabout this morning. The reception was so POSITIVE. Unbelievable support from passers-by and motorists. Heaps of new faces. All wanting to send solidarity and support to the man who was injured at this spot a fortnight ago. All demanding better, safer roads for Galway. We deserve better from our council
Standing with the #Sundays4Safety @Fhmediastuff crowd protesting lack of safe roads in Galway. We need immediate action on pedestrianisation, cycling, and active travel infrastructure in Galway.
#Sundays4Safety is happening this Sunday. If you want safer streets for people who wheel, walk and cycle, please come along. Let's show Galway City Council that safety, accessibility and comfort matters. Every extra person makes a huge difference. Please share!
