"Get Happy" is a song composed by #HaroldArlen, with lyrics written by #TedKoehler. It was the first song they wrote together, and was introduced by #RuthEtting in The Nine-Fifteen Revue in 1930. The song expresses the #gospelMusic theme of #gettingHappy, an expression of #religiousEcstasy for salvation. It is most associated with #JudyGarland, who performed it in her last MGM film #SummerStock (1950) and in live concert performances throughout the rest of her life.
