I went back for the Suillus luteus! As I stated yesterday I have never eaten it, and I just fell in love with them.
So I picked what I found, and cleaned it as you do with this mushroom by taking off its skin. My hands got really brown, like it should.
I did find a small amount, even a boletus, but for my meal tonight I fried the mushroom beside some ham with onion and garlic, potatoes and a light salad.
I love foraging for my own tastebuds. And of course, reading Ali Smith’s Gliff.

Can Suillus luteus (smørsopp) be the most beautiful mushroom on the table?
It looks like potato/chips after frying it. This was my first time eating it, and it was mild and fills well.
I might have to go back and pick all the others I left.
