@welkin7 @Rastal @killbait #iran will not give up its control over #StraitOfHormuz. Just like #egypt didn't give up its control over #SuezCanal in 1956. You may reach an agreement where it will be "toll free" for a grace period. It will not return to be just another "international neutral waterway". This may also explain why Iran is singling out #uae in its attack on the gulf. They are on the other side of the strait.

Happy Ever Given Day!

On 3/23/2021, the container ship Ever Given ran aground in the Suez Canal while traveling from Malaysia to the Netherlands, blocking maritime traffic through the canal for 6 days. The ship was finally freed 3/29/2021.

The #EverGiven ran aground in the #SuezCanal on #ThisDayInHistory in 2021, remaining wedged there for six days. With bow & stern on opposite banks, it completely blocked traffic. The size of modern #ContainerShips creates unique challenges (Ever Given is 1300 ft long, 224k tons).
