Today I did my first trail run with my new #Suunto Race S. No problems and it synced with #Strava just fine. The amount of #metrics and #data it collects is impressive.

However, you know what is NOT impressive? The #app wants to run in the background 24x7 and just #sucks the #battery in record time. 😡

My #phone's battery doesn't hold a charge well and it is over 4,000mAh. What should be lasting several days with mostly idling requires charging just a lil over 24 hours. Suunto's battery-hungry app takes it down to 16 hours or less.

What exactly is this app doing to consume energy at an unhinged rate?

I was out of town for a few days, helping a friend move from home, which included four floors, basement and attic included, and four generations of family furniture and other objects and knickknacks, barely none of which were his. Yesterday was a 21-hour day without a minute to spare, from 6 AM to my drive home.

🛻 Moving sucks!

While there, I was able to catch a show of Washington [DC] Ballet's Adult Program (see image). They were great. Incredibly, they have 80 students now, and a program for individuals with Parkinson's.

And I "got drunk" with some old pals, some of whom are now married with kids! Super cute!

DC is rather MAGA-fied now, and eerie. The town is not like the old days (ca 2010), I saw an unusual number of Teslas, for example. 🤮

I had my own struggles with apple’s dev support for about a year before some cheap outsourced idiot finally understood where my problem is and how they can fix it by simple acknowledging
