It will soon be time for my cacti to burst into flower. Some are starting already. These from previous years.

i got out the real camera today for some plant shots. here's the mini Portulacaria afra, with some decent lighting.

my Haworthia cooperii is flowering again. this is the stage where the flower spike looks the nicest; it will eventually get absurdly long, with shrivelled flowers near the bottom. i only had enough time for a quick phone photo today; maybe later i will get out the real camera.

this haworthia has been divided and restarted from offshoots a few times. it grows well outdoors, as well as indoors under grow lights. like all succulents, it needs to come inside in cold weather.
