This is how @mischmus and I used to stream music back in 2012, before streaming services became popular. Thanks to HE-AAC, it even worked over EDGE in the middle of nowhere.

Finally got rid of Amazon's spy software on my Echo Show 5 2nd Gen (What a mouthful!) and replaced it with LineageOS 18.1. Wouldn't you figure, it's suddenly much snappier! I finally got around to putting Navidrome on my server for my music strteaming needs!

#funkwhale is weird... 😅
It's running, but in addition to the network storage problem that I still need to solve, it shows a strange quirk:
When I click on a song in the webUI, it only plays 2-3 seconds of it and then stops. If there are more songs in the queue, it plays the rest of them properly. If I skip to the first song again via the "previous" button, it plays it completely (but not if I click it in the playlist).

And none of that happens, if I music on my phone via the #subsonic API. 🤷‍♂️

So I set up navidrome and I’m assessing it as a replacement for Plex. I love the web access but there really isn’t anything as good as Plexamp for mobile.

Please share links to your favorite iOS navidrome or subsonic apps.

So far the best I found was the TestFlight for Narjo, but it still has some rough edges.

Is there any #Subsonic compatible music player app which can be used on an Android Car device? (not Android Auto, but on the device itself).
