Speaking of Amiga (kindof): Another flat-UI app bites the dust and is forced into my fever-dream of 90's GUI-excellence. I made an Amiga/Windows95 looking theme for #SublimeText (or rather: modified someone else's Mac-looking theme). I might share it sometime after some cleanup.
Suddenly while I'm doing something (in this case coding on the project in the screenshot), I feel like I *just have to* fix some other thing. In this case I was finally fed up with Sublime's flat UI while coding.
Un temps j'utilisais #SublimeText quand une fois tous les 2 ans je devais mettre la main dans le cambouis #html de quelque chose.
Y'a du plus stable et robuste et mieux ou c'est toujours pertinent ?
I've got a Sublime Text plugin in Package Control now called HostSettings; it lets you easily (🤞) apply specific settings based on your computer's host name, which is nice if you have your settings in source control and need to tweak some things (my work computer needs a different font size, for example).
Presenting the "ATASCII Insert" plugin for #SublimeText. Provides shortcuts to insert ATASCII special characters in fonts like Atari Classic, EightBit Atari…
Install "AtariTools" too for truly sublime Atari code editing!
Bin noch nicht ganz warm, aber als #vscode Ersatz und als #sublimetext Veteran hab ich jetzt einfach mal auf #kdekate als Editor der Wahl gesetzt. Hat es sonst auch schon auf meine Windows VM geschafft.
Bisschen meine neue Crush gerade <3
I've been using #SublimeText here and there again instead of #VSCode and it's been kinda nice, thinking about switching back over to it, at least for personal projects.
What plugins would y'all recommend for it these days? I know there are some lists on the package control site, but I'm curious about what y'all think :)
Extremely happy with my decision to switch back to Sublime Text from VS Codium.
It's **so much** faster and responsive, I'd forgotten how bloated and slow VS Code was! And no AI slop I need to disable every time it updates, since MS kept pushing them as new features. Totally worth registering, I bought a license for work, too.
If I had a hard personal requirement to use open source I'd probably go with EMACS. Or Kate.
