President Joe Biden Thursday is hosting the first-ever trilateral summit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishidan and Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., to strengthen strategic alliances in the Indo-Pacific.

The addition of four new locations to the #EDCA military deal brings the total number of sites under the agreement to nine. This is the largest military footprint the US has had in the Philippines in 30 years, since 1992 when the Philippines ordered American forces to withdraw from #SubicBay and #ClarkAirBase.
