Chewed through this new manta imagery easily. "MRR" == Mean Reciprocal Rank == 1 / "How many guesses you need to get it right." A score of 1.0 (as I achieve with a bunch of mantas) means that when you see a new image of a known manta, you identify it properly every time. #PTML #SubCenterArcFace #MetricLearning #ML

Tentative conclusion: I’m not going to get the minimum number of photos I need to reidentify a #mantaray below about a half-dozen.
