❗️By preliminary information, two #Russian aircraft were hit at #Russian #Savasleyka airfield in the #Nizhny_Novgorod region of #Russia last night.
The aircraft hit are probably #MiG_31 and #Su_30 or #Su_34. The results of the operation are still being clarified.
The air base is often used for attacks on #Ukraine — #MiG_31K fighters armed with #Kinzhal missiles regularly take off from there.

#Russian Ministry of Defence reported the first-ever battle launch of a “#Kinzhal” hypersonic ballistic missile from a #Su_34 fighter-bomber. This news appeared in the #MoD newspaper.
Previously, "#Kinzhal" missile systems were used only with modernized #MiG_31I(#K) planes. The #Russian aircraft fleet includes approximately 5–6 times more #Su_34s than #MiGs.
