Upgrading #openSUSE Leap from 15.6 to 16.0 was no joy. 😔 After the #Upgrade, #LDAP was gone, parts of #Python were gone. Python refused to run completely, and the system rebooted into emergency mode for no apparent reason.

I had to completely recompile #PostgreSQL and reinstall the above plus Patroni.

I’d say, this wasn’t exactly a smooth experience, not hard to fix but ugly nevertheless.

What was your first #Linux?

In 2001 my WinME crashed in the evening & it was clear I need to reinstall it! Everything was broken, but very important stuff was on the HDD!

Luckily l lived close to a gas station, which was opened that night & they were selling computer magazines.
So I went with my last money to the gas station & bought one with an #SuseLinux DVD (or CD) & was then able to download my important data.

This was the start of my Linux journey
